Happy Halloween
As a child my brothers and I were never allowed to participate in any Halloween activities. My dad was very strict in his beliefs. Of course we were taught that Halloween was from the DEVIL. If we ever celebrated it that meant we were worshipping the devil. So I was always bummed growing up because my friends would always ask what I was dressing up as and I would just say nothing. Now as an adult I have learned more about Halloween, and some people still feel it is a very evil time. There are alot of people that turn it into a grotesque and scary time. My family and I have found it to be a great time for us to just be together as a family. We do everything together. Picking our costumes is a family event, and it seems everyone has a vote. So tonight, go out and have a good time trick-or-treating with your kids. Tell them they look great, and that it’s OK to make believe they are someone else today. Make sure you check all the candy, and have lots of fun.
